Thank You! The Devereaux Was Downloaded How Many Times!?

Wow, I'm shocked by how many downloads The Devereaux has received since it was first uploaded to The Sims 3 Exchange back on March 1st.  716 downloads is amazing!! At least for me it is.  If anyone has played with it in their game, I would love to hear some feedback on it.  Even if it's negative, but constructive.

716 Downloads!!

Again, thank you all for so many downloads and reccommendations.  That is awesome!! And to those who downloaded and rec'd Roni's Community Center in support of Light It Up Blue for Autism, thank you!! :D

Roni's Community Center (Light Up Blue For Autism)

Roni's Community Center:

Light Up Blue for Autism!! To help spread Autism Awareness, this community center was built to serve as a skill center for your Sims that is also "spectrum friendly." This center has a gym, skill rooms, computer lab, gaming room, toddler room, movie room, reading room, sensory room, outside playground and a garden.  I dedicate this center to my little buddy Roni and all those who live with Autism.

Spec's:

  1. Large gym with basketball court, rock climbing wall and a work out area in upper loft.
  2. Skill rooms for painting, sculpting and inventing.  These rooms are spectrum friendly.
  3. Sensory room.
  4. Toddler room which is spectrum friendly.
  5. Reading room.
  6. Gaming room.
  7. Movie room.
  8. Computer lab.
  9. Outside playground.
  10. Garden with gazebo.
Public restrooms with showers.

This lot is set to "Vistors Allowed" but can be changed in Edit Town mode to suit your own personal preference and is built on a 50x50 lot.  Some store content is required, such as the rock climbing wall and the basketball court.  The L-Shaped stairs from the Prism Art Studio is also required.  The showers that were used in the public bathrooms are used from the venue Skylight Studio for the Performing Arts.  If you don't have it, they should be replaced with default showers from the base game.  This community center does not use any custom content.

Please share and recommend to help spread Autism Awareness and have your Sims Light Up Blue for Autism.

Autism Awareness Day

Yes, this blog is normally used for sharing my builds over at The Sims 3 Exchange, but with Autism Awareness day upon us, I decided to light everything up blue to show support for Autism awareness and research, and to support some very dear friends of mine who have kids with Autism as well.  So all week I will keep this blog lit up blue and then it will return back to it's normal layout.

However, I have decided that I'm going to build a community lot in support of Autism.  I'm working my plans out now and plan on releasing it on April 2nd to celebrate Autism Awareness Day.  Before I release it to the The Sims 3 exchange, I'll post all the details here complete with pictures.

If you'd like to show your support and learn more about Autism, check out the Autism Speaks which has all sorts of amazing information!

As always, Happy Simming!!

A New Work In Progress

Sul Sul! I was bored yesterday so I decided to start working on a new house.  The lot I'm building on has proven to be a tad bit small.  It's one of those odd size lots, so I think I'll move it to a 50x50 or a 60x60 size lot.  But I try my best to steer clear of lots bigger than 50x50 because most people don't have the space in their games to place a home on a large 60x60 lot with out having to shuffle around a bunch of lots within their worlds.  So I always try to build on a 40x40 lot for easier placement.  But  if I'm building a very large home or a mansion, then I always use the largest lot possible.

Any who, this new home is a Mid Western Craftsman Style home..or Prairie style home.  It's a one story home with 2 bedrooms and a master bedroom suite.   It also has a 3 bay garage.  Here's a sneak peek of the exterior front.  Forgive the grids, since I don't have any live mode pics yet.

The picture isn't the final release, so it's bound to change.  The landscaping still needs work.  Be sure to let me know what you think. I love getting feedback and I do respond to anyone who comments.

Happy Simming!! :D

Update On New WIP Collaboration w/ SummerFalls

Sul Sul!!

I hope everyone has had a fantastic weekend and a wonderful Monday! A few days ago, I finished up the exterior, floor plan and landscaping of the home that I'm working on with SummerFalls(blog) and passed it over to him so that he can work his furnishing and decorating magic.  I'm very excited to see what he does with it!! :)  If you would like to see a sneak peek of the home, check out SummerFalls showcase thread over at The Sims 3 forums here.  There is no deadline on this particular build, so it may be a few weeks before it hits the exchange.  Summer and I will keep you posted so keep checking back on our blogs or his showcase for updates!

So I decided to jump on the Twitter bandwagon to help promote the blog.  If you'd like to follow me on Twitter, please do so! You can find me here: http://twitter.com/lessthanzero_13

I haven't done much Simming lately, nor building.  It's a shame, but all for good reasons.  It was a busy weekend and this is the last week of my work adjustment program I'm doing.  So starting next week, I shall return to my constant Simming, building and chatting with my fellow Simmers.  I'm looking forward to it, because I've missed y'all!  Just don't hate, I did play SimCity for a little while today and yesterday.  I actually kinda missed it, but I'm ready to get back to The Sims!

Does anyone have a Great Aunt Twana? When I went to the beach with my brother and cousin, we saw this out at the peer.  If this is your Aunt, happy belated birthday from lessthanzero!! :D But I imagine this is none of y'alls aunt.

We also saw some alligators too while out at the beach! :D

Until next time, Happy Simming!!
